The Song of the Butterfly

Whoa! Hey! Wow! Yeah! I'm flying!

I cannot believe I'm so high
I cannot believe I'm flying
I cannot believe I'm so high
I cannot believe my wings have finally burst from me

And I feel so good - and I feel so fine
It's such a joy to be all grown up
And I feel so good - and I feel so fine
I've never felt so free and happy

Fluttering, hovering up in the blue
Peacefully floating along
Swirling and swooshing over and through
Singing a joyful song - Yeah!

I cannot believe I'm so high
I cannot believe I'm soaring
I cannot believe I'm so high
I cannot believe my feet have finally left the ground

Ahhhhhh, freedom! I remember my Mom telling me something about freedom back when I was just a little larva. Something to do with responsibility. Now what was it she was trying to say? Hmm...

I can't remember what she said
Something to do with bats and birds
Something to do with lizards and frogs
Something to do with food.....
But I just can't think of exactly what it was. Can you?

Fluttering, hovering up in the blue
Peacefully floating along
Swirling and swooshing over and through
Singing a joyful song - Yeah!

Now what was it my Mom was trying to tell me. Seems like it was important. Oh well, I'm sure it will come to me.... Hmm, speaking of coming to me, here comes a bird.I think I'll flutter right out in front of him just to show him how well I can fly. Oh, hi there Mr. Swall - ohhhhhhhhhhh!
