Have each student (or group of students) choose a rain forest animal, research it and write an illustrated report about it. Share and display the reports. Grade level variations: K/1 - Create a simple formula for students to follow in their reports; 2/3 - Have students write brief reports from the perspective of the animal. Then have students make masks of their animals and have them read their reports to the class while wearing their masks. 4/5/6 - Choose a science theme (survival strategies, caring for animal young, nutrition, etc.) for the reports to focus on.
