Forest Floor

  • Google Earth Tours to the Amazon featuring photos, student artwork, activity suggestions and fun facts
  • Field Trip to the Amazon Slide Show (for classroom, assembly or presentation use)
  • Project Blog (photos, stories and curriculum-based content sent from our adventure team of educators as they travel to the Amazon)
  • Travel & Learn Online Content (The Amazon River Elementary School  Web Site; the ARFS Project Classroom Package for teachers; and more!)
  • Rain Forest Activities and Resources
  • Videos and PowerPoints contributed from Amazon schools in previous years, including PowerPoints featuring artwork by Amazon students
  • Amazin’ Amazon Mystery Animals poetry safari contest, with an opportunity to win authentic Amazon crafts

$200/team of classes (up to 5 classes)


  • Forest Floor benefits, plus:
  • Curriculum Exploration with Amazon Peers and Experts (you submit your students' specific, curriculum-based questions and our team of traveling educators consults with/records Amazon students and experts, then sends back multimedia answers)

$300/team of classes (up to 5 classes)


  • Understory benefits, plus:
  • Video Exchange with Amazon schools (US and Amazon classrooms share videos expressing their concerns about their environments, challenging each other to take action and documenting the actions they take in their communities that have a positive impact on their environment)
  • Optional Art Exchange - We will mail you 3-5 pieces of Amazon student art focusing on the theme, ' Why the Amazon Rain Forest is Important to Me.' You may optionally mail your students' artwork focusing on the same theme for distribution at Amazon schools.

Emergent Layer

  • Canopy benefits, plus:
  • Skype conversations with teachers and students in the Amazon, the project's adventure team leader, Amazon indigenous leaders, scientists who study the Amazon and other Amazon Rain Forest experts
